Invisalign
Having a straight smile is great for your self-confidence and for your oral health. A misaligned bite may make your teeth more susceptible to decay, gum disease, and fracture. It also makes teeth more difficult to restore. When your teeth do not come together properly, it can even cause tooth sensitivity, jaw pain, and chewing problems.
If your teeth are crooked, you may feel embarrassed when you smile, giving off the wrong impression about you.
No Brackets or Wires
Most adult patients who would like a straight smile are reluctant to wear brackets and wires for years on end to achieve results. At Warm Springs Dental, we offer a reliable and convenient alternative – Invisalign clear braces.
Invisalign can correct:
- Protruding teeth
- Overlapping teeth
- Gaps between your teeth
- Overbite
- Underbite
- Crossbite
Invisalign is appropriate for most older teen and adult patients wishing to improve the health or appearance of their smiles. There is no age limit on Invisalign treatment. You are never too old to correct your smile.
Orthodontic Treatment with Invisalign
Rather than moving your teeth with an adjustable wire, Invisalign uses a series of clear custom trays that gently move your teeth into alignment. Invisalign aligners are crystal clear, smooth, and removable for greater comfort and convenience.
We will take impressions of your teeth, along with x-rays, and Dr. Jessica Ellis will plan your treatment to achieve a straight, comfortable smile.
The length of your treatment depends on how far your teeth need to move. We will estimate your treatment time during the planning process, so you have an idea of what to expect.
Achieving the Best Results with Invisalign
When you receive your aligner trays, you should wear each set in the series for about 22 hours each day. You can remove them to clean your teeth, eat, and drink hot liquids. You will wear each set of aligners for about two weeks before moving onto the next set.
We will also schedule regular check-ups to monitor your treatment, making any adjustments necessary to keep your treatment on track.
Wearing an Orthodontic Retainer
As with all orthodontic treatment, wearing a retainer is an essential part of your treatment. We will create a retainer for you to wear at night. This will keep your teeth from relapsing – shifting back to their original location.
